Oracle Declares Bronto Marketing Software Extinct

On this page
Oracle Netsuite has quietly announced “the end-of-life” status for their Bronto Marketing Software. Bronto Admin Accounts were notified of the status change via email on March 3, 2021 (view email from Oracle).
What does "end-of-life" mean?
An end-of-life product (EOL product) is a product at the end of the product lifecycle, indicating that the product is at the end of its useful life (from the vendor's point of view). At this stage, a vendor stops the marketing, selling, or provision of parts, services, or software updates for the product. - Wikipedia
What does this mean for teams using Bronto Marketing Software?
Oracle Netsuite was created through a series of acquisitions to develop a sales, marketing, and service ecosystem intended to rival fast-growing platforms such as HubSpot.
With Bronto service ending, marketing and sales teams will have two primary choices:
- Stick with Oracle NetSuite and hope they come out with something that is a great product and has amazing support (despite having failed to do so with Bronto)
- Look for a new solution
Assuming you wouldn’t want to stick around for a to-be-determined solution to appear, it is time to consider new options.
What are other options?
We suggest finding marketing software with a reputation for functionality and service (both areas considered friction points for Bronto users). The process of migrating data and user adoption can be easier than it sounds.
